About the Design
Sometimes I get weird mashup ideas as I'm doodling late at night... here's one of those ideas from my sketchbook. Our native species have been through (and are still going through) a lot... they have lots to be huhū about. This particular illustration style should look familiar to anyone who spent a lot of time playing phone games in the early 2000s.
Birds featured: ‘Akepa, Pueo, Palila, ‘Akohekohe, ‘I‘iwi, ‘Alae ke‘oke‘o, ‘Alae ‘ula, ‘Io, ‘Ua‘u, ‘Akiapōlā‘au, ʻElepaio, and Puaiohi.
